What types of lids does this work with?
It works withstandard metal flat mason jar lids(the kind used for canning). It doesnotwork with plastic lids or one-piece lids.
Is this safe for long-term food storage?
Totally. Vacuum sealing helps reduce air and moisture, which means fewer chances for mould or spoilage. Just remember: vacuum sealing is great fordry goodsandfridge/freezer storage, but it’snot a replacement for proper canningwhen it comes to preserving things like soups, sauces, or pickles
